Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy aims to help you as an individual overcome injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. Energize Physiotherapy will help you to maintain your health, whatever age you may be and whatever presenting symptoms you may have. Energize Physiotherapy aims to help individuals to manage pain, rehabilitate from injury or illness and prevent disease.

Sports Physiotherapy revolves around the accurate assessment and treatment of sports-related injuries. After consultation, a rehabilitation plan will be devised aimed at getting you back to your sport or hobby in a fast but safe manner.

Assessments

Assessments may involve movement screening, postural analysis, flexibility or strength tests or special tests designed to more accurately obtain a diagnosis. Accurate and thorough diagnoses are important to allow you as the individual to understand your condition, pain or rehabilitation with a greater level of understanding, empowering you to maximise your rehab potential.

Simultaneously, it will allow us to provide bespoke exercises and progressions, tailored towards getting you back to doing what you love (or work!) as soon as possible.

Treatments

Treatments may involve exercise prescription, manual therapy, massage techniques or myofascial release, joint mobilisations, taping, acupuncture or pain-management techniques.

Treatments will never come in the form of a pre-printed sheet of exercises and will never be chosen at random. Please feel free to ask us about evidence-based treatments and what current research indicates is most effective for your symptoms.
